About HitBuddy

HitBuddy is an MLB hit streak tracking tool that monitors active hitters daily, identifies players on notable streaks, and generates data-driven betting picks based on historical performance and batter vs team matchup analysis.

The platform tracks current streaks, longest career streaks, and key batting stats for every active MLB player. Data is updated each day after games complete.

A hit streak is the number of consecutive games in which a batter records at least one hit. The streak resets to zero if a player goes hitless in a game (0-for-X with at least one official at-bat).

HitBuddy tracks two streak statuses:

• Active— player has a confirmed ongoing streak with recent game data
• Watching— streak is notable but game result is pending or data is being verified

Streaks of 5+ games are highlighted with a fire indicator as a hot streak signal.

Each day, HitBuddy's pick engine evaluates active streak players using three primary factors:

1. Current streak length— longer streaks indicate a player is locked in
2. Batter vs Pitcher (BvP) history— play-by-play batting stats against the opposing pitcher
3. Recent batting average— rolling performance over the last 10-20 games

BvP averages above .300 are considered strong matchups (green), .250-.300 are neutral (gold), and below .250 are weak (red). This data is sourced from real play-by-play at-bats against the specific opposing pitcher when available. Confidence scores reflect the combined signal strength across all factors.

Picks are generated as a single best bet plus 2-leg, 3-leg, and 6-leg parlay options for higher potential returns.
